Please note the following Service disruption for South Region, Sunday 25th of October 2026:

Due to full closures of N28 (till Tuesday 27th) and Maryborough Hill (extended till Sunday 25th), heavy traffic congestion in Douglas is expected in the afternoon and evening hours today.
Routes 206, 207, 216, 220, 220A and 223 will experience delays and may be subject to further detours. 

Passengers are advised to allow additional travel time.

Road Closure Pouladuff Road

From: 10:00 Tuesday 27/10/2026

Until: 18:00 Friday 30/10/2026


Cork City Council have advised, that due to resurfacing works, Pouladuff Road will be closed to traffic during the above timeframe. Therefore, route 203 will not be able to serve the following stops:

Towards Parklands:

· 235851 Coolkellure, Aisling Court

· 243951 Pouladuff Road

Towards Manor Farm:

· 244141 Pouladuff Road

· 246251 Manor Farm

· 235861 Coolkellure, Aisling Court

Customers may use temporary bus stops to the north of the N40 West Link Roundabout.


🔷Routes 201 and 203🔷

Road Closure Knockpogue Avenue

From: 17:00 Friday 23/10/2026

Until: 21:00 Sunday 01/11/2026

Cork City Council have advised, that due to resurfacing works, Knockpogue Avenue will be closed to traffic during the above timeframe. Therefore, routes 201 and 203 will not be able to serve the following stops while operating on diversion:

Towards 201 CUH & 203 Parklands:

· 211721 Farranree Church

· 242421 Scoil Íosagáin Fairhill

· 242431 Upper Fairhill

Towards 203 Parklands:

· 242441 Close’s Road


Towards 201 Lotabeg & 203 City Centre/Manor Farm: Unaffected.


Customers may use temporary bus stops before the junction of Popham’s Road/Knockpogue Avenue and on Fairfield Avenue after its junction with Liam Healy Road.

Road Closure Maryborough Hill

00:00 – 18:00 Saturday 24/10/2026


Cork City Council have advised, that due to the demolition of the existing Maryborough Hill Bridge, Maryborough Hill will be closed to traffic during the above timeframe. Therefore, route 216 will not be able to serve the following stops while operating on diversion:

216 towards Monkstown:

· 245321 Lissadell

· 245331 Broadale

· 246001 The Borough

· 246011 Landsborough

· 232181 Clarkes Hill – route 223 will continue to serve this stop.

216 towards Douglas, City Centre and CUH:
