Removal of Online Sales from the Bus Éireann Website

Please note that the facility to purchase online tickets via www.buseireann.ie for travel on Bus Éireann public local bus services & commuter bus services in Dublin and Cork will no longer be available from 8 April 2025.

Tickets for Bus Éireann’s Expressway services will continue to be available for purchase through Expressway.ie

For the best value in fares on Bus Éireann public services, customers are advised to purchase tickets using the Transport for Ireland options of:

  • Leap Card: Single tickets and selected 24hr and 7 Day Zonal tickets may be purchased with a Leap card on board bus. See Leapcard.ie for more details.
  • Transport For Ireland TFI Go App: Single, 2 Journey & 10 Journey tickets and selected 24hr and 7 Day Zonal tickets may also be purchased and downloaded via the Transport for Ireland TFI Go App. See TFI Go App for more details

Tickets may also be purchased directly from the driver on board bus paying with cash or via ticket vending machines at main stations paying with cash or card.

The extension of the TFI Independent Travel Support service to Limerick

The Independent Travel Support (ITS) service assists passengers over 18 with additional needs to use public transport with independence. As part of the service, an ITS assistant travels with the passenger and trains them how to travel independently, until they are confident to travel alone.
